The precious metal look is very fashionable and has been for ages. Using these iron wire beads in your designs will provide a timeless quality that will last for many years. You’ll never grow tired of your work with them. Affordable and lightweight, iron components like these are cost-effective alternatives to precious metals. Their weight also makes them versatile enough to be used comfortably in many jewelry designs. The round beads are an antique bronze color and are about 20 mm in diameter. This product is priced per 100 pieces. Mastodon104: The quality of these beads is very good. They’re a lot better than some I have had that cost a lot more. This was a real bargain for me and they’ve worked well with a lot of my designs. I love the tight wound ball look of them and how they are curved and comfortable against the skin. Ben10484: I love this bundle of beads so much that I came back and bought two more. I’m pleased with how similar each bead is to the other, giving my … [Read more...]

SnorgTee T-Shirt Review & Giveaway Ends 3/6

I don't know about you but I feel most comfortable in jeans and a T-Shirt. There is just something about how a soft T-Shirt feels on the skin, its so relaxing. I love how casual and unique they are and I am always on the hunt for a great T-Shirt. This is where I was introduced to funky online T-Shit company called SnorgTees. SnorgTees has some of funniest T-Shirts around as well as kids tees, hoodies, and hats. They specialize in pop-culture inspired, random, and all around funny t-shirt designs. Kids T-Shirts Hats I was very impressed the very large T-Shirt selection that SnorgTees had. What I liked most about picking a shirt was that I can order it in a woman, mans, or kids size allowing for a better fitting shirt. I ended up looking at shirts for over an hour before I finally narrowed my selection down to one. The shirt I chose was the "You're Killing Me Smalls" blue and yellow T-Shirt. Within a week the shirt was sitting at my door. Its great to know you can order a shirt or … [Read more...]
General Mills Whole Grain Cereal Review and Giveaway Ends 3/5

Mornings can be hectic and having a quick and nutritious breakfast is really important for your kids. No matter how I make eggs or pancakes my son would much rather enjoy cereal. He will eat it dry, or with milk but either way its a must. My only problem with cereal is knowing if he is getting enough nutrition in cereal, as most are filled with sugar and other ingredients. This is where General Mills stepped up to the plate adding more Whole Grain to their cereals then any other ingredient. About Whole Grain According to Dr. Travis Stork, emergency room physician and host of “The Doctors,” identifying whole grain products can be challenging. Shoppers can look for nutritional cues on the front of the box, but they need to read the ingredient list to know if they are getting enough whole grain. Ingredient lists detail ingredients in order of prevalence, and if the words “whole grain” are followed by a grain like wheat or oats, it means the food contains more whole grain … [Read more...]
GladRags Eco Friendly Reusable Pads Review & Giveaway Ends 2/28

I started cloth diapering when my second child was born and thats when I was introduced to cloth pads. Being a person that never really cared for pads I was a bit skeptical to start. After doing a little more research I realized using cloth pads is the better way to go. This is where I found GladRags a small cloth pad company that makes a variety of menstrual pads. About GladRags Inspired by the simple utility, earth-friendliness, and comfort of cloth diapers, GladRags was founded in 1992 in Portland, Oregon. It began as a home based business that quickly outgrew the extra bedroom and moved to its own building. Today, GladRags is still a small company but with a big presence, promoting positive attitudes toward menstruation and making the environment a safer, cleaner place. GladRags can be found in health food stores and natural pharmacies nationwide. Cloth Pad Care (from the website): It's simple: just pre-soak in cold water, then machine wash and dry. Here are … [Read more...]
I’m THAT Mom!!! {Guest Post}

This morning I sat down to type this post out with a whole different post in mind and just as I started to focus to write she walked out into the living room and said “I got dressed” and sure enough…she has on a pair of jeans and a long sleeved shirt! An added bonus: IT MATCHES!! In the last few months we have been working on letting her pick out her own clothes and get dressed on her own. I have to admit she has come up with some interesting outfits!! This is one of our most recent outfits. It is very cold in Southern Wisconsin so we threw a white long sleeve and jeans under it and out we went! (This is supposed to be a skirt with shorts under it...but she turned the shorts into a shirt) Yes, I am THAT Mom…the one you stare and go “you let your kid go out in public dressed like that?!?” All I can say is YES!! As long as it is appropriate for the weather we are good to go. Why? Because she did it by HERSELF!!! … [Read more...]
TempTub by Mobi Review & Giveaway Ends 2/22

If I didn't know better, my children could be fish. They are always in the tub and could honestly play in there all day if I let them. When they were both infants they were really sensitive to the waters temperature. You don't want the water too hot but they sure did not like it cold. So finding the right temperature was always trial and error without a tub thermometer. Mobi Technologies came up with another great solution, TempTubs fun bath time thermometers. TempTubs are perfect for monitoring the water temp during bath time while making a fun toy for infants and children. The TempTubs are lots of fun and come in 6 different animals, a duck, lady bug, turtle, hippo, monkey, and crab. Features Easy to read display Automatic On/Off operation Visible Hot & Cold Temp Warning LED indicator flashes when temp is too hot Monitors constant temp F° reading Battery included Safety standard compliant The first thing I noticed about the TumpTub ducky was its … [Read more...]
Breastfeeding Busts, Part 2 {Guest Post}

So what did I learn with my first born that I took into preparing to nurse my son? Because we were on the epidural all day, my daughter was basically in drug induced sleep. She had extra weight on her because of the fluids I was given through IV all day that was not pushed out through the birthing process when we had a c/s. So her sleepiness was because of all the meds I had during delivery, and she lost a pound of weight which is normal for a c/s baby. My milk also took longer to come in because of the c/s and the “trauma” to my body as well as being a first time mom. So going into my 2nd delivery, I was prepared for how this was going to work. I knew to ask for a pump in the room after delivery to help increase my supply. I knew I was going to have another c/s (yes we tried for a VBAC, but I had a partial placenta previa, and that eliminates that option) and would only have a spinal block that would last a much shorter amount of time, and would be given fluids less as well. So … [Read more...]
